Scalp Micropigmentation:

How Can SMP Help?

If you have had a hair transplant, surgery or trauma to the head, scars can occur on the scalp for many reasons. They can often be an emotional trigger and affect a person’s self-esteem.
Scalp micropigmentation can help to conceal these scars.
To create a natural look, SMP for Scarring works by blending the scar and the hair on the scalp, meaning you will never know where the scar was to begin with

FAQs & Aftercare

Here at SMP Aesthetics, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible before, during and after your treatment. We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment. If you find your questions haven’t been answered, get in touch via the most suitable method and we will happily answer any of your queries.

There are two types of hair transplants you can get:
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) that will leave you with small circular scars across your head.
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) that will leave you with a strip like scar across the side or back of your head.
In order to blend these as naturally as possible we will apply the pigment 1-2cm around the scar, in with the natural hair. It’ll be like the scar was never there and will complete your hair journey.

Absolutely. Here at SMP Aesthetics we have been trained by some of the best artists in the industry and we take great pride on providing the best care for our clients throughout the entire procedure.

It all depends on the individual. It isn’t a painful procedure and most clients rate it particularly low on the pain scale.
If you feel it will help, you are able to take paracetamol or ibuprofen prior to your treatment.
