Scalp Micropigmentation:

Alopecia

How Can SMP Help?

Hair loss can happen in stages, or it can happen overnight. There are many different types of alopecia, in some cases, the hair may return but in others, it may not. Losing your hair can sometimes make you feel like you have also lost a bit of your identity.
Scalp micropigmentation has an incredible ability to create the illusion of a full head of hair that has been purposefully shaved, leaving a small amount of stubble behind.
There is no guarantee your hair will return with alopecia. However, SMP does wonders as it provides instant results and will hopefully help you gain your identity back.

FAQs & Aftercare

Here at SMP Aesthetics, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible before, during and after your treatment. We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment. If you find your questions haven’t been answered, get in touch via the most suitable method and we will happily answer any of your queries.

To make sure you get the best results, we recommend you do not scrub, shave or shampoo the treated area for at least 4-5 days after your scalp micropigmentation treatment.

Unfortunately not. However, it can hopefully provide genuine closure and help someone heal from the trauma of losing their hair.

Scalp micropigmentation is referred to as a permanent treatment which means the pigment will remain under the skin. However, to ensure your new look is kept fresh and looking as natural as possible, we recommend a touch-up every 3-6 years as the pigment can fade over a number of years.
